I think part of the reason I'm choosing to post Ladyhawke's video is because the video for labelmate Cut Copy's "Hearts on Fire", maybe my favorite single of last year, is fucking stupid. And this video is simple but not stupid. But also the remixes for this song from Cut Copy and Chicken Lips are really good, and actually I like the original now, too.

Somehow Free Blood is now being released jointly by Rong and DFA, which is pretty cool. "Never Hear Surf Music Again" is already out. "Royal Family" is out July 15 with remix work from The Brothers. The band's first CD will be released this fall. Also cool to see them using more and more live instrumentation in their performances.

Tonight marks the start of Naughty Wood's new Sunday night shindig, Dance Quest, at 414Soundbar. I, for one, am really looking forward to this... Sundays rule, I've been wanting to see Soundbar at some point, and the music will of course be top notch.
