Two days ago I was with Julie and her brother Daniel, waiting at the stoplight to get out of school. In front of us was a Ford Excursion. We commented about how much bigger it was than the "small" SUV in front of it, and I said how I wanted to put an "SUVs <3 SADDAM" sticker on it. Anyways, as the light turned green and we pulled alongside it, Daniel rolled down his window and shouted "YOU HAVE A BIG CAR!" at them. Their windows were up, and they gave us the finger, and we died laughing.

The radio, of all places, is playing Radiohead's "There, There." It fucking rules; everything I would expect from them at this point.

The Liars website has been updated finally, with a news section updated by the band members. I'm pretty sure the bassist left and has been replaced by another dude, but the news gives the impression that there are only 3 Liars now.
There are also a bunch of pictures of Karen O. And one where Angus is kissing someone whom you can only identify by their bondage glove... damn you, Angus, you lucky, lucky baastard.

Speaking of which, 75orless posted a review of Fever To Tell. Half of it is ok, the other half of the review is terrible (no offense to Kate, whose site I read (when it's updated..)). I've been having a tiff (??) with that site of late. I comment on reviews a lot, like reviewing the reviews, cause I figured a comments option sort of invited that. But no one really responded, except in negative ways. Also, I notice now how all the reviews are really, really single-faceted, bullshit, and wrong. Expect a panda sponsored competitor soon.

Also, Neumu won't shut up about the YYYs. If you don't already know, I am in love with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. But Neumu just doesn't get it, at all. I'm sorry. "Rich" is not the best recording of their career, especially (and I will keep stressing this) since the Steve Lamacq-recorded version totally kicks its ass. And their new album is not exactly a milestone for rock in like the past decade. I mean, it kicks SO much ass, and I listen to it every day and love it, but I don't think they'll be remembered entirely for their song writing. The YYYs are much more than the sum of their parts; the songs, the lyrics, each members contributions, the stage show, the artwork, the attitude, the philosphy, the slide guitar, the dirt, the insane drumming, the screaming, the balls-out-everything of this band is what makes them so fantastic. Not just slapping a few power chords together with a drum machine.

Listening: !!! - !!!, The Rapture, The White Stripes
