I was way far away and didn't use a flash, so the photos really don't do either band justice.
Moving Units put on this incredible live show. Superb. The drummer was the most entertaining drummer I have ever seen. At least twice while they were playing he stood up and started clapping along. Insane
I love the Walkmen's record. And I loved the Walkmen's live show. But I don't think they meant to made the record they did... they are much more rock'n'roll live, Hamilton spewing fire into the microphone, the bassist being incredibly into the most boring bass part ever, and the drummer seriously laying down the minimal, primal beats, keeping time on the bass drum more than anything else. Fantastic.
I miss New York.
