Hm.. ok... Pitchfork again leads off their reviews with a Yeah Yeah Yeahs SINGLE, calling it an EP and reviewing it as such... Pfork dudes, I wouldn't have high expectations with three track CDs that consist of an album track, a remix (which I'm pretty sure is NOT done by the band, even though he reviewed it as such), and a b-side, as in making-the-single-a-little-more-buyable. Eric Carr also spells the Liars' cover wrong ("Mr. You're On Fire Mr." instead of the actual "Mr Your On Fire Mr"), and refers to "Maps" as their best song. "Maps" is not their best song. I don't know how he finds much meaning in the album version at all. I think the song is fantastic, but only because I've heard it live and on live recordings. On the album, Karen's delivery is the flattest she's ever given. Live, it's great.

Also from Pitchfork: The Wrens release their new album in September, but if you're smart like me you'll buy it from Absolutely Kosher now to get the limited edition; The Dandy Warhols get blasted; and The White Stripes cancel the rest of their tour.

Listening: Beck, Sea Change
