Last night's show at First Ave: Beep Beep, please Stop Stop.
The Fever was ON. Always a good show. The replacement keyboardist seems to be faring well, and Geremy's stage prescense is as intense as ever. Do they play weddings? That would rule.
The Faint had scary, rabid pre-teen fans dressed by their crackhead, faux-hipster mothers. That, and as if playing the worst song on their album, "Erection", weren't enough, they had visuals of phallic symbols in the background (so clever!). We left.
New LCD Soundsystem track "Movement" available at Fluxblog. A new Special Needs track in the same post.
"Shake The Sheets" and a Lauryn Hill cover from Ted Leo [via fellow twin cities blogger The Big Ticket]. Also, new Tom Waits, Sahara Hotnights, the Black Keys, and many more downloads.
New Handsome Boy Modeling School track featuring Del and Alex Kapranos of the Ferd [via Stereogum].
Insound has a rare New Pornographer's track, "Graceland", from the forthcoming compilation Matador at 15. The 2 CD/DVD set has "greatest hits", rarities, and videos from the past five years. I'm thinking about getting it for the Interpol ("PDA"), Cat Power ("He War"), and Pretty Girls Make Graves ("This Is Our Emergency") videos.
New TV on the Radio song "New Health Rock" reviewed at Pitchfork. Anyone have it? Send it our way.
Do people even read this? We've been updating like crazy lately. Too many good downloads.
