ENTERTAINMENT!

Download The Arcade Fire live in Boston. I'm really surprised that bloggers all over are jumping on this album--because it's so good. The last thing loved unanimously by bloggers was The Killers, I believe, who are a bit different in both style and quality.

The White Stripes will be recording their new album soon.

If you didn't already hear, Gang of Four is reuniting.

Here's a rundown of noteworthy articles in the New York Times, as usual:

First Avenue Is Dead (Long Live First Avenue!). This article is a rundown of what happened with First Avenue. If you haven't heard yet, the club will be reopening soon.
I honestly don't understand why First Ave is considered to be such a wonderful club. Yes, I understand that Prince and the Replacements got their start there, but I have yet to see a really meaningful show there (except for the Strokes, but that had nothing to do with the club). I like that the club is not owned by Clear Channel, and that they book bands I want to see. However, the club itself isn't that great, the sound isn't good, the stage is way too high, and there are either all ages shows that start at 5 or 21+ shows. What happened to 18+ shows, especially in a city with the country's second largest undergrad university?

Interpol live review. Sanneh says Antics is better than TOTBL. Sigh, wrong again. And Paul, lose the hat.

A large feature on U2 and their new record. I haven't had time to read it.

A night out with Autolux. My friend Bobby really likes this LA band.

Live review of Modest Mouse. Pareles has some interesting descriptions of the band's sound.

Cat Power and Annie are featured in the playlist.

Questions about a Husker Du reunion.
