HE LIED ABOUT DEATH

The latest issue of Vice Magazine is the music issue. It's pretty messed up. It has either the best or worst inteview with Bloc Party I've read so far, a weird article writen by a member of New Order, reflections by Trent Reznor, and a story from Stevie Nicks.

There are two live videos of Death From Above 1979 available here, and they have excellent audio quality.

Details on Lollapalooza. I will most likely be there, doing my best to avoid Cake.

Details on Missy Elliott's next album. She says it's her best album.

The hipster iPod.

The new White Stripes' single "Blue Orchid" is featured in the Times' playlist. The Dungen reissues of late are also mentioned. I actually thought it was Jon Pareles' playlist at first, so touche Kelefa Sanneh (who I usually can't stand). I'm starting to look forward to the forthcoming album, Get Behind Me Satan, even if I really don't like Elephant. V2 held listening parties for it, and both Miss Modernage and Billboard were there. MM also reveals the cover art.

This is classic. My Chemical Romance is planning an elaborate fall tour. Says guitarist Ray Toro, "A lot of bands these days don't work on creating an image for their band and their videos. We're looking to do that for our live shows too." Bands never work on their image! So true.

Interview with The Go! Team.

Interpol singles reviewed. I'd like to hear the remixes done by each member for the "C'mere" single.

New Kanye West single info.

ILM thread on biggest disappointments of the year so far.

Kelly Osbourne DJing at Misshapes.
