I still feel like I'm recovering from my trip, so I only have a few things to post about right now.

There's a new video up for "Never Win" on Fischerspooner's page. Bizarre, as usual. The edited chorus irks me. Definitely reminds me of some Matthew Barney stuff.
My bffs in Chicago's brand new party space, Hey Cadets!, gets written up in the Reader, and subsequently shut down, all after one night.
Pitchfork's Intonation Music Festival is next week, and I'm getting pretty fucking psyched. A number of my most favorite bands are playing, and I'm hoping it's going to be a blast. I'm a little wary since it's about nine hours long, there's no re-entry, and you can't bring in food or beverages, but we'll see how it turns out. Over the course of next week I'm going to do a countdown to the show, talking about my favorite artists and giving you the content you crave.
In the meantime, here's a rundown of all the Pitchfork shit that went down while I was gone. You leave for two weeks and that's when all the news comes out!
Mu on tour - I really, really want to try and catch this show after Lollapalooza. I have no fucking idea what "soundbar" is like as a venue.
Animal Collective LP details - I did an interview with Animal Collective and saw them put on (another) great show at the Triple Rock a couple of months ago. I've been thinking about it a lot and will post more about it in the (undisclosed) future
Devendra Banhart live dates - I hope the Fineline works well for him as a venue.
Annie lim.ed. 12"s - Annie just got added to rotation at Radio K. The list-serv has been seeing a lot of haters, but "Heartbeat" made it to number 3 on the top 7 anyway. Witness the undeniable power of magnificient scandinavian pop.
Hot Snakes disband - This really pisses me off. There was a moment on my trip when I was listening to their last album, Audit In Progress, and thinking about how underrated this band is/was. I really wish I could have caught them live, I'm sure it was quite the pummelling rock and roll experience.
YYYs new LP details - This record could either be great or really bad. We'll see. I want more "Y Control" and a helluva lot less "Hello Tomorrow". It's too bad to see they're only including a few songs from their last few tours; "Kissy Kissy", "Blowhard", "Down Boy", "Rockers to Swallow", "10x10", and most of all "Sealings" are definitely their best work so far, IMO. I'd be surprised if more than one or two of those made the cut, sadly.
Franz Ferdinand LP details - Do you know I've missed the Ferd in concert five separate times? Still haven't seen them.
TV on the Radio LP details - For better (or extremely cryptic) updates, check David Sitek's blog and Flickr page.
Liars next LP - I still don't know how I feel about their last one. They still have a fucking on live show.
Dandy Warhols new LP - I'm finally going to see this band at Lollapalooza. I never really listened to that last record though.
Profile: Art Brut - I like what I've heard of the LP. I need to listen to it more.
Live: BRMC - Live dates here. I know most people hate this band, but I love em.
Track review: Goldfrapp - "Ooh La La" - I was going to do a more in-depth post on this track, because I love it, but the full-length video isn't done yet and there are NO hi-fi versions on the internet yet. Very frustrating.
Ugh, that was too much Pitchfork. Here are my roomate's photos of last night's Feist show, which I missed.
