Johnny Jewel, from Italians Do It Better, and producer for Glass Candy, Chromatics, Farah, and others, is featured on XLR8R's In the Studio currently. Jewel is "really superstitious" about his synths.

Speaking of, I generally prefer Glass Candy to Chromatics, but therecently disbanded and soon-to-be reformed Chromatics put up a new demo on Myspace a little while ago called "Lady," and it's really great.

HOT CHIPS

Dazed Digital has a pretty cool, different feature from Hot Chip going up this week. The band goes over and reviews some of their all-time favorite synths. Included so far are the Roland SH-101, the Casio VL-Tone, and the Yamaha GX-1.
