Holy SHIT the White Stripes are nominated for best album.
I'm actually surprised at how many nominees for "Record of the Year" I agree with.
"Crazy in Love" deserves to win (just for that sample... jesus shitchrist), but "Hey Ya!" is a pretty hot track (although I'm not wetting myself), "Clocks" is okay if you look bland pop songs, and I like Eminem's delivery on "Lose Yourself", even if it's the token Eminem nomination that no Grammys will be complete without for the next 20 years. However, "Where is the Love" is just a shit track. Black Eyed Peas were MAYBE OKAY a few years ago, and now they're suddenly accepted by the mainstream for SUCKING.

I know that it is naturally understood that the Grammys are shit, but this is where I bitch about how WRONG the Grammys are this year, as always.

Album of the Year isn't that bad, I guess. Under Construction is mega mega hot, of course, and even if Justified came out last year I'm STILL pumping that shit (like LAST NIGHT). But the new Outkast album is not as good as everyone is hyping it to be, ELEPHANT IS A GENERALLY CRAPPY RECORD AND CAN COME NOWHERE CLOSE TO COMPARING TO WHITE BLOOD CELLS, and why the fuck is Evanescence on the list?

I guess "Beautiful" is okay for Song of the Year. The rest are crap.

Why is Fountains of Wayne in the Best New Artist category? Because the Grammys definite "New" by the "Public Identity" of the artist. As far as I know, I'm part of the public (as opposed to a fan of Fountains of Wayne) and I had heard of them before this record. And Fountains of Wayne is not the best new artist. I guess 50 Cent deserves that one (out of the nominees). The rest can suck it. Especially Evanescence. Go away.

Okay this is just dumb. It's a good thing no one really believes a Grammy holds any integrity. Maybe Queens of the Stonge Age will get one, that'd be cool.

OH MAN! FEVER TO TELL is nominated for best Alternative Music Album. Why is Fight Test nominated instead of Yoshimi for the Flaming Lips? FUCK THIS IS SO DUMB. Why is Sigur Ros's second album there, instead of their first one being there last year!?! AHGHHGGHHGHGISEJkjgl;kjdfgljdfg
