Mediaeater has up new [no surprise here] Interpol photos. Bidi was at Sunday's secret show at the Bowery, and I'm jealous.
Tussle will have their debut album, Kling Klang, out in November. There are samples and an unreleased track up for download here.
Did you know you can watch high-quality videos at the iTunes store? They have a good selection and, unlike shitty Yahoo-affiliate Launch, they're ad-free. Some videos I recommend:
"Decent Days and Nights", The Futureheads. A clean, simple video that really emphasizes the song. What a stupid-catchy riff.
"Hysteria", Muse. Sometimes Muse's videos can be a bit over-the-top. This one, although it seems they're aping the Ferd's aesthetic, is a fairly simple, really well done video that let's you focus on how tight and virtuosic each of the players in the band is.
"Pain", Jimmy Eat World. The last JEW record was all about insanely catch choruses and huge, clean production (plus an awful Pitchfork review). The guitars in this song aren't as big as I'd like them to be, but it's got a rad solo and this stupid-awesome synthesized drum beat. Plus, the video has this bizarre Royal Tenenbaums theme going on. WTF JEW?
"Y Control (Live at the FIllmore)", Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Maybe the original video was too creepy? Despite a few technical mishaps, this one is awesome.
"The End Has No End", The Strokes. The video makes no sense, but the mirrored room reminds me of A Flock of Seagulls, and that can't be bad.
"American Idiot", Green Day. Did anyone see them on Letterman? The drummer and Letterman had this weird flirty thing going on.
"I'd Rather Dance With You", Kings of Convenience. Man, that dude is weird lookin'.
Lastly, if you go to school at U of M and haven't done so yet, sign up for The Face Book.
