MTV's CMJ recap featuring Controller.Controller, Death From Above 1979, Arcade Fire, The Concretes, and more.
Junior Boys written up in The New York Times' Rock and Pop Listings, with nods to Ratatat and Mouse On Mars. This is may be the first time I agree with Kelefa Sanneh.
Sasha Frere-Jones on the reissue of London Calling in The New Yorker.
Paul Banks interviewed in Nerve.
At last, a Pitchfork review worth reading: Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain reissue.
More information on new Franz Ferdinand songs.
In honor of the new update of iTunes (which FINALLY minimizes to the taskbar) and really purty color iPods, we have more fun with iTunes videos:
"Slow Hands", Interpol. As usual, a stylish video. I always like seeing a performance-centered video, especially from the 'pol. Not a new video, but a high-quality version of the video.
"Who Is It ([blah blah blah...])", Bjork. Uh, bells. Right on, Bjork. Bells.
"In Bloom", Nirvana. What? Is this for the box set or something?
"Rumors", Lindsay Lohan. I think it was like two weeks ago, I watched Heathers with my friend Katherine at about 4 a.m. Then we woke up and watched Mean Girls (the same movie, but with Lindsay Lohan instead of Wynonna Rider, and nobody really dies). Then I saw this video online. Then I turned on MTV and saw this video's episode of "Making the Video". Needless to say, it was a good day.
[Ed. note: Soviet Panda acknowledges that in less than ten years' time, this video will become a laughable piece of celebrity trivia. Soviet Panda approves the video anyway. Soviet Panda also acknowledges that Ahslee Simpson's SNL debacle will not be discussed on this website. We here at SP feel for Ashlee during this tough time, and hope she makes it through relatively unscathed.]

RIP John Peel. I never got into Radio One, but Peel Session tracks have always consistently been great.
