Sorry for the downtime on updates. I am back in Minneapolis, school has just started again, and I've swapped rooms with my roomates. All is well, I just need to figure out when I can get in some proper updates; there is a lot of stuff I have to talk about.
For starters, One Louder points to a video someone shot at a club where Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" from the forthcoming Human After All was playing. That album is definitely the one I'm looking forward the most for 2005. Well, at least the start of 2005. The next Yeah Yeah Yeahs record is due out in fall, and the band is planning some kind of new direction.
There is a ton of press coming up about James Murphy, DFA, and lcd soundsystem. Make sure to check out DFA_NYC for all kinds of DFA news and media.
After the dead holiday season, bands' touring plans are starting to be formed up. The calendar is growing. I'll talk about shows as they get closer.
Lastly, my new DJ shift for the semester starts today. You can hear me from 6-9 PM central time on Radio K. Click on the website for a stream. As always, it's half rotation music, half stuff I pick out, and my rambling commentary.
