FACT continues their unbelievable podcast series with a live mix from Simian Mobile Disco.
I saw SMD live earlier this year at Metro in Chicago. It's fun to hear them twist and distort their album through raw gear, and more fun to watch their light show, but I actually enjoyed their follwoing DJ set at Smartbar most. Their taste is a consistent extension of their production mindset, valuing dark, evil, unmistakably machine music with unrelenting momentum, and this mix is no exception - check the absolutely bonkers Len Faki mix of Minneapolis-native Dustin Zahn's "Stranger (To Stability)" for an example.
