ON A SLOW NIGHT

This is the last time I'm telling you:

WED AUG 11 2004 7:30 PM
FIRESIDE BOWL
THE SECRETS OF STYLISH WOMEN
---

Slow news day/busy work day today. I didn't have time to FTP an mp3 either. Ohhh well!

CMJ performers have been announced. This year is funny in that the performers are all either bands I would really like to see or bands I have no interest in, and very few in between.

Bands I’d want to see are Camper Van Beethoven, Clinic, The Concretes, The Faint, Hope of the States, RJD2, Sonic Youth, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Trail of Dead, TV on the Radio, Coachwhips, French Kicks, Mr. Airplane Man, On!Air!Library!, Sufjan Stevens, The Thermals, Whirlwind Heat, The Witnesses, and The Wrens.

Pitchfork has details on the forthcoming Hot Hot Heat LP. Make Up the Breakdown was great for a few months, but I haven't listened to it since. It definitely wore out its welcome.

You might have already seen this, but the artwork for Interpol's forthcoming Antics blows. Also, in addition to the rest of the Curisoa festival dates, Interpol will be playing a few European club dates, including another Black Session.

The NY Times on the New York Dolls reunion and upcoming Little Steven's International Underground Garage Festival which I would LOVE to attend.

Special Insound deal on the new Oxford Collapse album.

Interesting MP3 blog round table on The Morning News. Long, but provides some details you wouldn't have heard elsewhere.

Nooo! Why couldn't they just stick with Arial? Interpol and Arial go together like peanut butter and jelly!
