WE SPIES

Interpol's new single "Slow Hands" has been remixed by Dan the Automator... and Britt Daniel? Whaa?

Speaking of Interpol, none other than Brooklyn-by-way-of-Texas's own Secret Machines will be opening for the 'pol on their fall tour. Definitely the must-see tour of the fall.

Speaking of the Secret Machines, you can download live tracks or watch live performances from the Secret Machines and Ambulance LTD from... MTV? Whaa?

Amazon is listing The Faint's Wet From Birth for preorder.

Amazon is also listing "Available" as a forthcoming single from Moving Units.

The Ferd played three new songs at Leeds.

Moe Tucker has recorded five songs with The Raveonettes.

Thank god that tour's coming to Mpls. The Secret Machines' bassist almost killed me with his flailing the last time they came through, but I really would've died happy.

Chris- I'm not really familliar with Communique, but as far as I can tell they're a really pop-oriented band on an indie label. Elefant has a more glam, new-wave oriented vibe going on than Communique, so I don't think they're that closely related. I'd wait to see what Elefant's next album is, because they've re-recorded some singles and seem to be headed into a different direction. Although I think Elefant's debut is a pretty solid record, just not a real stand out.
