My photos from Ratatat's performance on Sunday are up. The show was amazing, and all the songs were much more intense than on the record. The band has a DVD they use to sync up their prerecorded music with stunning home-made visuals for a performance I'm not going to forget anytime soon. Plus, they have their own fog machine and bright lights! Definitely check out Ratatat while you can.
Also, Mouse on Mars' performance was great, too. I've never seen so much dancing at a rock show. I'm starting to listen to their latest record now.
Britt Daniel's remix of Interpol's "Slow Hands" [via Stereogum]. I've been listening to this a lot more than the original version. The increased prominence of the rhythm section turs out to be quite addicting. Pitchfork review here.
This space used to have Interpol's latest Black sessions up for download; now it has an Amsterdam show available for download [via MelodyNelson].
Death From Above 1979 in Dazed&Confused magazine.
Pitchfork review of the Bloc Party EP. If you've been reading here, you've already bought it (or at least downloaded some tracks that I pointed out).
Also, their review of Antics. The final version is much better than the one that got leaked. My ears are really happy. If you buy the CD, you also get a link to download a rerecorded version of "Song Seven", which is very good news.
The dreaded 0.0 gets handed out to Travis Morrison's latest. Who saw that coming... not me...

I unfortunately missed that Ratatat/Junior Boys/Macha/Mouse on Mars show. While I was unhappy that it was at the Quest, I had been planning to go. At least before I forgot about it entirely until 8pm on Sunday (show) nite. Doh. I'm glad to hear that it was a good time.
like jenny from the block party?
